A spoonie is someone living with chronic illness and and with limited daily energy. I have three autoimmune diseases, I am a person of color, which makes me a minority in most of the places where I have lived. I still try and do all the things and I present well, which means that my health struggles are largely invisible. All these elements play a role in my journey.
